Think about whether you're hanging one or several. The Small is 7.87 inches across — built to be grouped, so two or three over a kitchen island, a breakfast bar, or a run of counter. On its own it suits a sink, a nightstand, or a reading corner. The Large is 14.96 inches across and works as a single fixture: over a dining table, a bedroom, or a seating area where you want one soft, atmospheric source rather than a row of them. If you only have one ceiling box, choose the Large.

With the Small: two for islands up to about 6 feet, three for 7 to 9 feet. Space them 24 to 30 inches apart and keep the outer pendants at least 6 inches in from the ends so the grouping stays centred. With the Large, one on its own is usually right over a table — two only if the table is very long.

Small: 7.87 inches (20 cm) diameter, adjustable drop up to 62.99 inches (160 cm).

Both are shortened at install, so 8-, 9- and 10-foot ceilings are all covered.

Over a kitchen island or counter, 30 to 36 inches from the surface to the bottom of the shade. Over a dining table, 28 to 34 inches from the tabletop. Lower feels more intimate, higher spreads the light more broadly. The cord adjusts so you set the exact drop during install.

White linen with a woven jute accent. The linen is what diffuses the light and gives the fixture its clean look from across the room; the jute adds warmth and texture overhead. Both are natural materials, so small variations in tone and weave are normal and are not a defect.

One E26 bulb per pendant, not included. Max 15W LED — but that's the LED wattage, not the light output. A 15W LED is equivalent to roughly a 100W incandescent bulb. For a warm, relaxed feel go 2700K. For a kitchen where you want things a touch crisper, 3000K works well.

Yes, with an external dimmer switch or a dimmable smart bulb. There's no integrated dimmer in the fixture, so you can use whatever system you already have. If you're on a wall dimmer, make sure it's rated for LED loads.

Yes. This is a single pendant on its own canopy, so three over an island means three ceiling boxes. If you only have one box and don't want new wiring runs, look at the DUO White 3-Light — three shades drop from a single mount on adjustable cables.

It's a hardwired fixture that requires installation. If you're replacing an existing ceiling light on the same box, many people handle it themselves. If you're adding boxes for a multi-pendant run, use a licensed electrician.

Natural jute mellows slightly with light exposure over time, which most people find adds to the character rather than detracting from it. Keep it out of direct sunlight if you want to preserve the original tone longer. The texture and weave stay intact.

No — it's rated for dry locations only, and the linen and jute shades are not suited to damp air. Keep it out of bathrooms with a shower or tub, and out of covered outdoor areas.
